Riga - The ‘Open Wifi’ campaign created by
Adell Saatchi & Saatchi for its Lattelecom client has been honoured in the
Online Event category at the Digital Communication Awards 2013.
This year's awards attracted more
than 550 projects in 38 categories from all over Europe, but only 40 entriants left the
gala ceremony with a trophy. In contrast to other
festivals, to qualify for the award all shortlisted campaigns had to be
presented in Berlin to the Jury, composed both of communication professionals
and leading academic researchers.
Varis Lazo,
CEO Adell Saatchi & Saatchi Latvia, said: “It is a great achievement to
have succeeded against such fierce competition. This is an important win that
strenghtens our belief in Nothing Is Impossible, and motivates the whole team
to go for new challenges.”
He continued:
“The category sought online events that stand out from the crowd for their creative planning and implementation, and the
high levels of involvement for their participants. We are proud that our campaign
made for Lattelecom – the biggest Internet provider in Latvia – has been
recognized as one of the best at European level.”
The award established by Quadriga
Univesity Berlin in 2011 is among the leading online communication festivals in
Europe, which honours outstanding achievments in PR and communications.
