San Juan - Badillo Saatchi & Saatchi won a Grand
Prix and 26 medals (4 Gold, 10 Silver and 12 Bronze) at the 32nd
edition of the Cúspide Awards, sponsored by the Puerto Rico Advertising Agency
Association. The award ceremony was held
May 2 at the Government Reception Center in Old San Juan.
“After Death”, a short film produced by
Badillo Saatchi & Saatchi to promote the Puerto Rico Horror Film Fest
received a Grand Prix and two Gold awards in Film, plus one Silver in
Media. The radio component of this
effort was awarded one Gold (“Dawn”), two Silver (“Dawn”, “Tow Truck”) and one
Bronze (“Dawn”); the print ad, “Director’s Hand”, won a Bronze, and the “After
Death” case got a Bronze in PR and in Promo & Activation, making that a
total of 11 medals for “After Death”.
Toyota Foundation was also a big winner,
obtaining three medals for their Environmental Scholarships print campaign ads
– one Gold (“Turtle”), one Silver (“Dolphin”) and one Bronze (“Dolphin”) plus
one Bronze each for the Foundation’s “Red Riding Hood” and “Little Prince”
environmental conservation print ads.
Toyota Parts & Services “Starter Mishaps” radio campaign (“Surgery”,
“Work”, “Bride”) won a Silver, as did the “Work” spot, while “Bride” received a
Bronze.
Toyota RAV4 “Rearview Cameraman” case
obtained a Silver each in Direct and Media, and Toyota 4Runner’s “Rolando” TV
ad won a Film Bronze. An ingenious hourglass designed for San José Church’s
restoration fundraising efforts under the theme “Turn Time Around” was awarded
a Silver in Design and a Bronze in Direct.
Ofi Arte’s “Brushes” print campaign
“Decapitation” ad won a Silver award and “Dinner” a Bronze. Wendy’s “Man” radio spot for its Spicy
Chicken Strips product received a Bronze Cúspide.
