The ’Chronicles of Threats’ campaign created
by Saatchi & Saatchi Belgrade has won a Silver Drum in the Integrated
Communications Category, at the Golden Drum Regional Festival of Creativity
2014.
The ’Chronicles of Threats’ project, initiated
by The OSCE and Commission for the Investigation of Murders of Journalists, aimed
to demonstrate to the general public how journalists feel when threatened. The
campaign provoked a big debate about journalists putting themselves at risk on
a daily basis and featured on numerous TV channels, as well as becoming a
burning issue across social media networks.
The campaign was also instrumental in the
re-opening of several historic investigations into the deaths of journalists, including
those for Radislava Vujasinović and Milan Pantić, and an indictment being
raised for the murder of journalist Slavko Ćuruvija.
’Chronicles of Threats' was also awarded a
Bronze Lion in Media at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity 2014.
