Geneva - Following the appointment of Michael Samak as Regional CEO of Saatchi & Saatchi in Switzerland and Germany, the agency is pleased to announce the appointment of Catherine Gale to the new position of Managing Director, Saatchi & Saatchi Switzerland. Being based in Geneva and reporting directly to Samak, Gale, a dual American/British national with a strong footing in the Swiss market, also brings extensive international experience covering Europe, the United Kingdom, North America and Asia.
"Catherine is an exceptionally talented individual with a broad range of international experience that will enhance our offering to existing clients as well as help drive our growth across Switzerland. Catherine is a seasoned professional in the management of both domestic and international clients and I look forward to working closely with her in the development of our Swiss Agency. Gale joins Saatchi & Saatchi Switzerland from CBS Outdoor International in London, where she has been Chief Marketing Officer International since 2007. Gale said on her appointment: "I am delighted to return to Saatchi & Saatchi to work with Michael and the team to build on our multi-national capabilities and expertise. With over 18 nationalities, Saatchi & Saatchi Switzerland is uniquely placed in a growing international marketplace."
Gale's responsibilities will also encompass those of outgoing Managing Director Geneva, Philippe Meyer. Meyer, who has been with Saatchi & Saatchi since 2008, will depart at the end of September to ensure a smooth transition. Samak thanked Meyer for his contribution saying "We greatly appreciate Philippe's work over the past two years. His hard work and determination has brought our Geneva Agency into an extremely strong position in the Swiss market and we wish him the very best for his future."
