Toronto - Saatchi & Saatchi Canada took the top
prize at the 2014 Atomic Awards, for its ‘Surrender Your Say’ Twitter Campaign
for the Tourette Syndrome Foundation of Canada (TSFC).
In addition to winning the top prize, the
campaign also took home 4 gold medals – the most won by any agency in Canada at
this year’s show.
“We were very pleased,” says Executive Creative
Director Brian Sheppard. “This project has been incredibly rewarding on so many
levels. Obviously, bringing awareness to Tourette Syndrome is reward in itself.
But it’s fantastic to see the team and the agency recognized for such
ground-breaking work.”
The campaign, which allowed people to give
up their Twitter handles for 24 hours, so the TSFC could tweet random Tourette
tics into their feeds, was an international success. In just three days, the
campaign trended in 29 countries and generated over 250 million impressions.
The Atomic Awards are a major, annual Canadian
advertising awards show, which showcases breakthrough achievements in the realm
of advertising and media creativity, technology and content.
