Guangzhou - Saatchi & Saatchi has won the account for SeaMild, the number one oatmeal brand in China, after a pitch against three undisclosed agencies. The account will be led from the Saatchi & Saatchi Guangzhou office.
SeaMild was founded in 1995, based in Guangxi, Gulin. It started to import oatmeal from Australia back in 1995 with a vision to bring the wholesome goodness to every household in China.
Though SeaMild is the number one brand of oatmeal in China, the penetration and brand awareness is relatively weak in southern China. The appointment of Saatchi & Saatchi is to build SeaMild as a LOVEMARK across the country.
SeaMild Chairman Mr Xie said, “I am very impressed by the pitch presentation, especially Saatchi & Saatchi’s creativity and brand strategy. I am very confident with this partnership and have high hopes that the brand awareness can be further expanded in China.”
Saatchi & Saatchi Greater China CEO, Justin Billingsley said, “It’s great to win a good client at the start of a new year. By good client I mean a client with a clear vision, a client that is doing a ‘good thing’ to improve nutrition in China, a client who is looking for a long term partnership and have the determination to build a strong brand with us. We are both committed to some bold objectives and a three-year contract signifies this commitment.”
